High-Mac Rye is stabilized Rye Bran and is finely ground from the cleaned outer fraction of the Rye grain in a multi stage process. Rye Bran is a rich source of minerals and fibre. Stabilized Rye Bran, improves shelf by preventing food spoilage. The product remains nutritionally valuable for longer periods than un-stabilized bran and it is less prone to develop off flavours making it easier to store. Food manufacturers prefer to use stabilized Bran in products such as cereals, baked goods and snack bars to ensure consistent quality without the risk of rancidity .
